A draft of Dallas’ Comprehensive Environmental and Climate Action Plan (CECAP) is open for public comment.
The plan includes an inventory of greenhouse gas emissions and sets a target for net-zero emissions by 2050, with a 43% reduction by 2030. It lists 90 actions, but many – such as relying on Renewable Energy Credits to meet targets – are inadequate. More immediate actions are needed to meet the city’s goal.
Join us in telling city staff to strengthen the plan to meet our climate goals.
