Tell Congress: Finish America’s Annual Spending Package 

Right now, we’re stuck on a Trump Administration budget than underfunds necessary government services and pays for things we no longer need. 

Please send a message to your senators and urge them to come to the negotiating table to pass a new budget that makes sense for America:

If you’re calling a Republican, here’s what you could say: 

"Hello, my name is ______ and I live in CITY, STATE. I’m calling to urge you to come to the negotiating table and pass a new annual budget. 

It doesn’t make sense to continue running the government with an outdated budget. I want you to cut funding for programs that no longer make sense and to secure more funding for job training, medical facilities, fighting the opioid epidemic, services for seniors, and other key priorities for our state. 

Please work with your colleagues on both sides of the aisle to pass a new budget that is up-to-date for our current needs. Thank you for your time."

If you’re calling a Democrat, here’s what you could say: 

"Hello, my name is ______ and I live in CITY, STATE. I’m calling to urge you to come to the negotiating table and pass a new annual budget. 

It doesn’t make sense to keep renewing a budget from the Trump Administration that funds the border wall and the war in Afghanistan. I want you to create a new budget that cuts Trump’s wasteful spending and focuses on important priorities like job training, medical facilities, fighting the opioid epidemic, and services for seniors. 

Please work with your colleagues on both sides of the aisle to pass a new budget that is up-to-date for our current needs. Thank you for your time."
