Mitch McConnell’s Outrageous Filibuster Demand

Mitch McConnell spent eight years shamelessly stonewalling any kind of progress during Barack Obama’s entire presidency — largely by weaponizing the filibuster.

Then McConnell spent four years carrying water for Donald Trump, debasing himself and the Senate more times than I can count.

And now McConnell is threatening to upend Senate norms unless Democrats — who, remember, are now the majority in both chambers of Congress — guarantee that he can continue abusing the filibuster to obstruct progress.
