Tell Congress: Fight for a Green New Deal

We, the undersigned, call on Congress to embrace a bold and just climate action plan.  We demand a Green New Deal that is on scale with what the climate crisis requires:

• Halt all new fossil fuel extraction, infrastructure, and subsidies, and transition power generation to 100% renewable energy by 2035 or sooner.


• Rapidly decarbonize agriculture and transportation sectors and expand access to public transportation.
• Ensure a fair and just transition led by affected workers and communities, including low-income communities and communities of color, without relying on market-based mechanisms that put profits over people.
• Uphold indigenous rights.
• Pass a national jobs guarantee, creating good jobs with collective bargaining and family-sustaining wages.

We have just 12 years to prevent the worst impacts of climate chaos. We can’t afford more half-measures. We need a Green New Deal.
